Stone soup

22 Jan

I have rhinestones on my gown, on the floor, sticking to my clothes, probably in my hair and yes, I suspect it won’t be long before they show up in my food!  50 gross is a lot of rhinestones and although I don’t think they ALL have to go on this gown, I believe that at least 3/4 of them will end up there in the long run.

The only place with decent light to take pictures in at night is the kitchen.  I noticed right away that this gown coordinates nicely with the decorative cutting board hanging above the stove:-)

So far I have carefully hand sewn the float you see in this photo wrong TWICE!  I am learning to appreciate the strength  of good hand sewing as it is a royal pain to unpick

The floats will attach under the arm with a swim suit closure and perhaps a couple of clear snaps.

The skirts are really heavy and I woke up this morning rethinking the skirt because of this.  It certainly deserves some thought, horrifying though it is….

Hi, it’s Lady Mame from PR — your gown is gorgeous!

Thanks Beth. It has been an interesting challenge. Not quite ready for prime time yet, but close to testing on the practice floor – maybe this week.
