Decisions, decisions…

24 Feb

All right – the shirt is done and looks pretty good.  I will get photos asap.  Doing a snap front instead of using shirt studs is going to make the dressing part of the competition day much easier for Bill.

Now I have my fabric:

and I am ready to go!  BUT – now is the time to make those final, irrevocable design decisions.  Do I modify the bodice at the waist or at the neckline?  Go with the TNT (Tried ‘N True) basic gown and add embellishments to it?  And why did I never learn to draw???

Plan du jour is basic gown, scoop neck, elbow length short sleeves.  Banded (1 – 1 1/2″) with the purple solid at the neck, elbow and possibly the hem.  Probably an Empire waist.  Simple and elegant, right?  Though I am thinking some sort of floral effect with the glitter fabric might be essential, but that can be added later:-)
