A good news/bad news moment

11 May

Gown looks pretty darn good!

But it gapes in a very unfortunate way:-(

Luckily, good sewing friends saw it and made several great suggestions on a fix.  Another length of elastic (quite strong, round stuff) was threaded between the zig zag and stones, pulled up and anchored.  Worked like a charm!

The floats were also slightly modified and hand stitched on to the gown.  I planned to make them detachable, but it was getting late and we are off to a competition early today, so that will have to wait.  Hope to get some good photos there – and a few ribbons and medals, of course!
