A fitting end

26 Jun

You may recognize the pale blue lycra from both the Winter Sky Gown and the Victoria Gown.  And you have seen it in the background of various shots of the sewing room and in bits and pieces in the muslin of the Candy Wrapper.  As promised, although a goodly length of it has gone to another local sewing friend, this is the last chunk of the bolt I have left.  And it has been used to line the bin I use for fabric scraps waiting to go for recycling.

Scraps that end up in here almost never see the light of day again.  Almost, because there are odd times when only a scrap will do, right?  I have made a special addition to this one by putting the waistband elastic formerly on my dance practice skirt around the top of this fancy-a** bag.  It didn’t quite fit because I was not that big around (thank goodness!) but I think it was a nice touch.

Case closed.  The scrap bin looks happy!
